Knightsbridge, London

We were commissioned to prepare concept and detailed designs in a classical contemporary style to follow the refurbishment of this large  terraced property.

The gardens  were installed over a new basement cinema and family room and so space is limited. Winter structure is provided by two large bay trees, large clipped box spheres in containers and evergreen, scented jasmine over the walls and trellis. Grasses and perennials provide foliage and flower displays through the seasons and particularly in spring and summer.

The garden is bordered by bespoke cedar trellis and has sawn Yorkstone terrace and paths with decorative steel balustrading around the lightwell. Artificial grass is used to provide relief around the lightwells and extensive lighting and irrigation schemes were provided.

The front garden is detailed but simple with a bepoke designed polished slate spillstone flowing into a sawn Yorkstone-surrounded underlit pool. Planting includes a specimen strawberry tree, clipped box and herbaceous perennials
